Supervisory Series

Your pathway to obtain Advanced Certificate in Manufacturing Sales & Marketing
These modules equip supervisors and managers with the supervisory training and skills
as operations professional in the manufacturing, logistics, real estate management, construction,
maintenance industry or performing technical supervisory jobs in service industry.

Every individual who completes each module will get a Statement of Attainment (SOA).

Upon completion of COP you will be able to obtain Advanced Certificate in Manufacturing Sales & Marketing
by taking another 5 of 9 modules of WSQ Advanced Certificate in Manufacturing Sales & Marketing Programme.
Graduates of WSQ Advanced Certificate in Manufacturing Sales & Marketing may gain entry to
Swinburne University of Technology, Australia Bachelor of Business (Marketing) (pending approval)

*After 90% SPUR Funding
**Absentee Payroll capped at $10.00/hr
For Singaporean & PR only

Course fees:

*$90.95 for each module

Course Outline

Supervise Teams at Work (24 hours)
-Relating to team members from a diverse range of backgrounds and abilities
-Assist team establishment
-Assist development of a team culture
-Assist improving team performance

Duration: 3 days (incl. assessment)
17-19 May 2010 (9am-5pm)

Supervise Work Improvement Processes (16 hours)
-Plan work improvement activities
-Implement work improvement processes
-Standardize improved work processes
-Determine the KPI for the work teams to achieve based on the work improvement activities identified

Duration: 2.5 days (incl. assessment)
20-21,26 May 2010 (9am-5pm)


Supervise Quality Procedures (16 hours)
-Plan daily quality control work activities
-Facilitate & control process quality
-Supervise the application of inspection procedures

Duration: 2.5 days (incl. assessment)
24-26 May 2010 (9am-5pm)


Supervise Workplace Safety &
Health Practices (24 hours)
-Plan and implement safe work practices
-Maintain workplace risk control measures
-Identify & communicate WSH requirements to workers in accordance with the organisational safety management system

Admission Criteria
This is an industry oriented programme and applicants should preferably possess the following:
GEC O levels/GCE A levels or a minimum of 2 years working experience in manufacturing industry

Your pathway to obtain WSQ Advanced Certificate in Manufacturing Sales & Marketing
These modules are designed to provide participants with the essential skills and knowledge in
manufacturing sales and marketing to achieve success in today's competitive business environment.

Every individual who completes each module will be awarded with a Statement of Attainment (SOA).
Upon completion of these 5 modules you will be able to obtain WSQ Advanced Certificate in
Manufacturing Sales & Marketing by taking 4 modules of Supervisory Series.

Graduates of WSQ Advanced Certificate in Manufacturing Sales & Marketing may gain entry to

Maximise Advertising & Promotion in Manufacturing (24 hours)
-Explore the scope of marketing communications
-Investigate the role and importance of advertising
-Assess the role of below-the-line techniques and how they are used
-Prepare an integrated promotional strategy

Practise Entrepreneurship within Your Organisation (24 hours)
-Features of entrepreneurship
-Develop an idea for a viable product or service
-Present a business idea
-Plan a business enterprise
-Implement a business enterprise

Implement Profitable Marketing & Sales Strategies in Manufacturing (24 hours)
-Define the parameters of profitable marketing and sales strategies
-Profitable product strategy
-Profitable pricing strategy
-Profitable promotion strategy
-Profitable place strategy
-Develop the marketing plan

Implement Sales & Customer Service in Manufacturing Business (24 hours)
-The role of sales and customer services in business
-Provide effective service to customers
-The importance for organisations of providing good service to customers
