CHECK YOUR PASSPORT especially in Kuala L_mp_r Int. Airport.

You have no chance. These groups of M_l_y Civil Servants can do
anything to you however vigilant you choose to be. This is the time of
crook.

Please be Careful at the Airports. This is a well organized conspiracy
by Immigration, Police, Customs and Airline staff with networking at
all International Airports. Be careful when ever you hand over your
passport to the Immigration/Customs/Airline staff. The passport can be
easily tampered with and that can create trouble to you. They have
found an easy way of making easy money. This is the way it works:

At the time of the passenger's departure, if the passenger is not
looking at the officer while he is stamping the exit chop on the
passport, the officer very cleverly tears off one of the page from the
passport. The bastard usually tears off the page with the visa stamped
on it from your passport. When the passenger leaves the immigration
counter, the case is reported on his computer terminal with full
details. Now all over the country they have got full details of the
passenger with Red Flag flashing on the Passport number entered by the
departure immigration officer. YOU ARE NOW A MARKED MAN!!! They have
made their money by doing above.

On arrival next time, he is detained and interrogated. They will then
accused him of tampering with the passport. Subject to the passenger's
period of stay abroad, his income and standing etc., the price to get
rid of (settle) the problem is “fixed” by the Police and Immigration
people. If someone argues, they will give you hell and bring MORE
charges against you. You will NEVER get any justice, especially in
Malaysia where the civil servants who are mainly Malays. They have a
sick reputation of such unethical corrupt practices.

Please advise every passenger to be careful at the airports. Whenever
they hand over the passport to the counters of Airlines or immigration
or the customs, they must be vigilant, always keep their eyes on their
passports even if the officer in front of them tries to divert their
attention.

Also, please pass this information to all friends, media men and
important politicians. Every month dozens of cases are happening in
KLIA and all over the world to rob the unsuspecting passenger the
minute he lands.

A similar case happened with Aramco's Arifuddin in Pakistan . He was
travelling with his family. They had six passports. They got the visa
of America and decided to go via Jeddah. When they reached the States,
the page of the American visa on his wife's passport was missing. At
the time of departure from Pakistan it was there, the whole family had
to return helplessly. On arrival at Pakistan , they were arrested by
the police at the airport. It is over 2 months now and they are
running after the Police, Immigration officers and the Courts. One
simply cannot imagine neither believe, that the Immigration dept can
play such a nasty game to harass the innocent passengers.

All the airlines passengers must be aware of this conspiracy. Every
month dozens of cases are taking place, at each mentioned airport, of
detaining the passengers for the crime of tearing away the passport
pages and tampering with an official travel document. On interviewing
some of them, none of them was aware of what had happened. They don't
know why, when and who tore away the page from the middle of the
passport. One can imagine the sufferings of such people at the hands
of the immigration, police and the court procedures after that. The
number of cases has increased in the last 2-3 years. People who are
arriving at the immigration, are detained and questioned. Their
passports are being held and they have to go in for detailed
interrogation. Obviously, the conspiracy started about 2 to 3 years
ago, now the consequences are coming. Some of the Airline counter
staff too are also involved in this conspiracy.

SO MAKE SURE NOT TO LET THE PASSPORT GO OFF YOUR SIGHT EVEN FOR A
SECOND. THE IMMIGRATION COUNTERS ARE HIGH AND TIRED AND SHORT
PASSENGERS REALLY HAVE TO WORK HARD TO KEEP THE PASSPORT IN SIGHT,
SPEACIALLY AFTER THE EXHAUSTING JOURNEY, EVERYONE WANTS TO GET OVER
WITH THE AIRPORT FORMALITIES AND GO HOME. SO BEING VIGILANT FOR AN
EXTRA MINUTE WILL SAVE YOU A LIFE TIME OF MISERY. WISH YOU THE BEST OF
LUCK IN YOUR TRAVELS.

REMEMBER: WITH CONDITIONS AT PRESENT IN MALAYSIA ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE
IN THIS LAND OF THE PURE GREED AND CORRUPTION. IT IS VERY SAD INDEED.

It goes something like this:- Somebody slips a hand-phone into your pocket, sometimes it could be just a wallet with an identity card and a few ringgit. A few minutes later, the 'owner' comes up and confronts you, the 'thief '. He makes a big commotion that you stole his stuff. You, caught unaware, are then pulled aside by the 'owner' for a settlement. You are intimidated and threatened that if you do not pay up the police will be brought in. Given that you're 'guilty until proven innocent' as far as t he Malaysian police are concerned, I understand some poor people are in jail for these 'offences'. At the KLIA, the 'owner' throws his hand-phone and wallet with the few ringgit notes into the luggage trolley of a just arrived passenger The drama unfolds a few minutes later. The real culprit has easily convinced our Malaysian police to arrest the real victim (if he has not paid up the 'settlement' demand). This is a very serious matter. This is another form of extortionists operating in broad daylight. They are disgusting criminals who will do anything to rob and steal. The sickening part of the whole scenario is that unless you pay the 'quoted settlement' money, they will put you in real trouble by calling the police. The real culprit gets back his hand-phone and wallet but the real victim ( i.e.. could be any one of us) is thrown into the police lock up and charged in court. So do be very careful, otherwise you may end up as a 'thief' as you have no way to prove your innocence. Pass it on..... let more people be aware of such things around them.

Subject: Duped by credit card scam upon check in at Hotel

You arrive at your hotel and check in at the front desk. When checking in,
you give the front desk your credit card (for all the charges for your
room). You get to your room and settle in. Someone calls the front desk
and
asked for (example) Room 620 (which happens to be your room).

Your phone rings in your room. You answer and the person on the other end
says the following, ' This is the front desk. When checking in, we came
across a problem with your charge card information. Please re-read me your
credit card number and verify the last 3 digits numbers at the reverse
side
of your charge card. '

Not thinking anything you might give this person your information, since
the call seems to come from the front desk. But actually, it is a scam of
someone calling from outside the hotel/front desk. They ask for a random
room number. Then, ask you for credit card information and address
information. Sounding so professional that you do think you are talking to
the front desk.

If you ever encounter this problem on your vacation, tell the caller that
you will be down at the front desk to clear up any problems. Then, go to
the front desk and ask if there was a problem. If there
was none, inform the manager of the hotel that someone called to scam you
of your credit card information acting like a front desk employee.

If you feel that the tips are useful, please forward it to your relatives,
friends & colleague.

Subject: Bangkok International Airport

Folks, be warned and be really careful, check the items you bought and
give
back what does not belong to you even when the shop assistants claimed
it's
'free'. I believe the duty free shop assistants would also get a
share.......so, be very, very careful. Read below

My Dept. secretary informed on this. Her cousin was detained in Bangkok
for
stealing a box of cigarettes in a duty-free shop in Bangkok International
Airport.

He had paid for chocolates and a carton of cigarettes. The cashier put a
packet of smokes into his bag and he thought it was a free pack.

He was arrested for shop-lifting and the Thai Police extortion price was
RM30,000 for his release. He spent two nights in jail and paid RM50 for an
air-con cell, 200-300 baht for each visitor, and RM11,000 for his final
release.

The Police shared the money in front of his eyes. On top of that, he was
charged in court and fined RM2,000 by the magistrate and handcuffed and
escorted to his plane.

His passport was stamped "Thief". While there, his relatives requested
help
from the Malaysian Embassy and was told that they are helpless, as
Malaysians are victimised similarly daily and letters and phone-calls to
the Thai Authorities are ignored.

He shared a cell with a Singaporean the 1st night who paid RM60,000 for
his
release.

The 2nd night was an Indian national who paid USD70,000.

Mind you this is not in a shag downtown Bangkok but in a duty free shop in
Bangkok 's Int'l Airport .

If you get RM10.00 in your car door handle, use tissue paper or cloth to
remove it without opening it and if possible bag it. Drive away
immediately.

Don't check the note until you are in the company of your friends or
relatives. The note could either contain powdered drugs to knock you out
or
make you wonder if some guilty motorist compensating you for a knock or
scratch on your car, while you are still wondering, the robber(s) will
attack you as you check the car.

This had happened in Johor. Please circulate to your friends and warn
them!
