70 percent or higher cocoa content -- "truffles, soufflés and even hot chocolate can be a good source of resveratrol and cocoa phenols (flavonoids) as long as dark chocolate with a high content of cocoa is used."

3. Salmon/tuna

"Especially white, or albacore, tuna and salmon are excellent sources of omega-3 fatty acids, and canned salmon contains soft bones that give an added boost of calcium intake."

6 Facebook Relationship Etiquette Do's & Don'ts

When we're blissfully in love, it's tempting to let our friends and family in on the happy news via Facebook or Twitter. But just like in the real world, social networks have their own set of relationship etiquette and not everything about your love life should be published for the whole world to see.

It boils down to knowing what's socially acceptable to post on your Wall. Lisa Daily, dating coach and author of the bestselling book Stop Getting Dumped, offers advice on how to use Facebook responsibly around relationships. Don't be guilty of these -- or you could find yourself being unfriended or unfollowed.

Do post appropriate couple photos
Uploading your couple pics are perfectly fine -- as long as you don't publish photos showing steamy PDA (public display of affection). "Never post a photo you wouldn't want your mom, minister, or future employer to see, because that's who's looking," says Daily.

A general rule of thumb is no kissing with your mouth open, no hands above mid thigh or anywhere near your boobs. Keep those for private viewing, otherwise you'd risk coming across as an attention seeker.

Do keep your lovey-dovey messages private
There's nothing more cringe-worthy than seeing loved-up friends constantly posting mushy "babyyy miss you soooo much" comments and declarations of undying love. If you must use social networking sites to let your other half know how you feel, stick to private messages.

"First, your friends don't really want to read your pet names and inside jokes. Second, think about why you'd want to make something personal between you and your guy so public -- are you involved in a relationship or putting on a show? Usually when someone spends a lot of time trying to convince other people what a great relationship she has, it's because she doesn't believe it herself," adds Daily.

Don't update your relationship status too early
And then there's the tricky relationship status. When should you let your friends know you're "in a relationship"? Daily thinks it's wise to wait until you've mutually decided to be exclusive before you change your Facebook status to reflect that -- for two reasons.

One: "Nothing kills a relationship faster than jumping the gun," warns Daily, so you don't want to scare your new date off with too much too soon. And two: If you announce your new relationship prematurely and should it not work out, everyone from your colleague to your first-grade ex-classmate will know about it.

Don't pretend to be single if you're not
However, if you're in a serious relationship, engaged or married, never imply you're single and available -- it can seem as though you're looking to keep your options open. "It's disrespectful to your sweetie, and unfair to anybody who gathers up the nerve to flirt with you. It's a mark of insecurity to need that constant reassurance that people are attracted to you," says Daily.

Don't be too showy
Do you know a friend in real life who can't stop gushing about how her beau got her this diamond necklace, booked that surprise romantic vacation, and how he's got the cutest accent? Well, don't be her clone in the cyber world -- or you'd be seen as though you are trying to make others jealous. "Yes, your friends, even the single ones, are happy you've found someone you really like. They just don't want to talk/hear about it 24 hours a day," says Daily.

Don't post snide comments about exes
You'll only come across as petty and immature if you use your social networking profiles to ridicule your ex -- and leave others wondering if you've really moved on. "And you just know, it's going to be forwarded. You just don't know to whom," adds Daily.

8 Red-Flags He's Cheating

Of course you trust your guy'll never cheat. But if he comes home late, starts working out to get in shape, and is secretive about his cell phone calls, are you right to be suspicious? Relationship experts weigh in on eight red-flags, and how much they're a cause for concern.

1. He starts paying more attention to his looks and wardrobe
Most people are keen to come across well when they first embark on a new relationship and this red flag can be an indication that there is someone else on the horizon. Life coach and relationships expert, Rebekah Fensome, warns that taking a greater interest in his appearance could be a bad sign. "Maybe he just wants to start taking pride in his appearance, but this can be a sure sign that there is someone else he is trying to impress."

"This is generally a sign he's looking to impress someone new, or that someone new is putting her influence on the way he looks," says Lisa Daily, a dating expert who is regularly featured on the nationally-syndicated Daytime television show and author of Stop Getting Dumped! and How to Date Like a Grown-Up.

Dating coach, Peter Spalton (known in the UK as the "Dating Doctor") suggests that you should pay attention to when the attention to detail occurs. "The problem is when he only gets dressed up when he goes out without you either in the evening with his "mates" or for dress-down Friday at work."

Red-Flag Meter: 5/5

2. His father had a history of being unfaithful
You might assume that people are capable of making their own decisions and that what your parents did has no bearing on your own future conduct but for Armstrong, this isn't necessarily the case. "All of us are unconsciously influenced by our parents' behavior and even if it has been a 'secret', the subconscious mind is powerful and absorbs the behaviour and influences."

For Daily, the outcome is less clear-cut. "Men in this situation tend to go to extremes: He'll either be the most faithful guy on the planet (because he remembers vividly the fallout in his family), or he'll be socialized that cheating is normal."

Spalton, on the other hand, is not convinced that a family history of infidelity has any impact on behavior. "This is unlikely to be an issue," he argues. "If his parents split up because of an affair, he'll probably go out of his way to make sure it doesn't happen to your children (if you have any). After all he personally knows the impact a divorce can have on the kids."

Red-Flag Meter: 2/5

3. He's cheated before
A leopard never changes his spots, or does he? Armstrong stresses that a past history of infidelity should be a cause for concern. "People tend to repeat patterns and scripts throughout their lives unless they stop and start to take notice of why they are acting like this," she says. Fensome also advises getting to the root of the problem. "Ask him why he thinks that he cheated," she says. "Find out where it came from -- was he too young; did he not really want to be with that person; was it down to insecurity?"

"The greatest indicator of future behavior is past behavior -- if he cheated on his last partner, it's only a matter of time before he cheats on you," warns Daily. "If he's cheated on you and you stayed with him, you can almost guarantee he'll cheat again as well. Why? You've basically let him know that he can get away with it."

For Spalton, past infidelity isn't necessarily an indication that history will repeat itself. "A drunken one-night stand at a business conference is usually a one-off and he'll feel guilty so is unlikely to repeat it," he advises. "But it's a different story if he'd gone out of his way to chase someone at work or one of your friends. Then you do need to watch out."

Red-Flag Meter: 5/5

4. His friends are jerks
Peer pressure can be very damaging, even if it's not intentionally applied. "We tend to be influenced by our friends," Armstrong suggests.

"People with similar values and backgrounds tend to hang out together, so you can learn a lot about a guy by the friends he keeps," explains Daily. "If his friends all cheat on their partners, or if he has no problem covering for a cheating friend, I'd steer clear. If his friends are good guys who treat their partners well, that's a pretty good sign."

Red-Flag Meter: 4/5

5. He's spending less time with you
Being frozen out isn't just frustrating and hurtful -- it can also be a sign that a relationship is heading for the rocks. "Relationships need nurturing and time spent together to grow close and to feel safe," says Armstrong. "If your partner is spending less time with you and seems less interested in you, it could indicate that they are developing this intimacy and safety elsewhere."

"It might be that he feels more secure in the relationship than before or it might be that he's losing interest," adds Fensome. "Just ask him and see how he reacts but if he becomes defensive, this isn't a good sign."

Daily doesn't see this situation as being a dealbreaker by itself unless there are other worrying signs present. "This can be caused by a variety of things -- stress, needing time with friends, or to just be alone," she argues. "However, if he's spending less time with you in combination with a number of the other red flags (new wardrobe, secretive calls, etc.) it's something to pay attention to."

Red-Flag Meter: 3/5

6. He's suddenly become more attentive
As equally suspicious as a man becoming more distant is a man who suddenly becomes more attentive. Most women dream of having a romantic and attentive partner but if this hasn't been in evidence from the start, it's not always a positive development. "People may be happy with their partner but suddenly adventure beckons elsewhere offering new experiences and excitement, and they might feel guilt and want to keep everything 'okay' at home," explains Armstrong.

Fensome agrees that guilt may be a strong factor but she stresses that there may be other forces at work. "It could be genuine in that he believes that he might be losing you and has decided not to take you for granted."

"This can be a swingback caused by guilt," agrees Daily, but she stresses that it isn't necessarily a big cause for concern. "Again, this is only a red flag when coupled with the other signs. Otherwise, there's no need to panic -- don't distrust a guy just because he pays a lot of attention to you."

Red-Flag Meter: 2/5

7. He's got reasons for leaving the house more
Frequent ventures out of the house can signal trouble. Fensome advises that you need to have a frank discussion to get to the bottom of what she sees as avoidance behavior.

Armstrong agrees with this. "If your partner starts to find many reasons to leave the house, it can be a real signal that they are exiting from the relationship," she explains. "There are many ways that people do this -- through work, sport, seeing friends, hobbies etc. -- all of which can be part of a healthy relationship but if it is different behavior, it can help if you are able to talk and explore what the reasons are."

Daily agrees that you may have cause to be wary about this red flag. "If there's no real reason for leaving the house (such as a demanding new employer, or change in living situation), this is something to be wary of -- especially if the reasons for leaving are impractical or don't really fit (like claiming to want ice cream at 11 pm, and then being gone for 3 hours)," she says.

Red-Flag Meter: 4/5

8. He's changed his cell phone habits
Becoming more secretive is a big red flag, especially where cell phones are concerned. If you notice things like him locking access to his cell phone or being very vague about who he is receiving text messages and calls from, it may be time to become suspicious. "This is a big sign, unless it's the week before your birthday, anniversary or a major holiday," says Daily. "That said, a guy who has nothing to hide usually doesn't hide things."

Fensome also agrees that secretive behavior can be a bad sign. "Secretive behavior is a sure sign that someone can be having an affair," she warns.

For a healthy relationship, Armstrong stresses the importance of being open with one another and keeping the lines of communication open. "If your partner starts to change cell phone habits, explore this for sure!" she advises.

Red-Flag Meter: 5/5

Conclusion
"The biggest things to watch for are significant changes in behavior -- whether it's wardrobe, at work, or in the bedroom," says Daily. Bottom-line: Stay alert, but don't be overly obsessed. A single red-flag may not be a definite deal-breaker, but if you see more than one signs chances are your suspicions are right.

The Truth About Sex Addiction

When sex becomes an addiction
Still, plenty of questions surround sexual obsession: Does it mean you're addicted to sex if you're doing it three times a day? How do you separate the addicts from otherwise healthy people who just happen to really, really love having sex? Relationship expert Amanda Kane explains the difference: "Generally, a person with a sex addiction gains little satisfaction from the sexual acting-out and forms no emotional bond with his or her sex partners." So if you find yourself using men just for sex, you might have an addiction problem. For some addicts, it is the only way they know to relieve anxiety and cope with stress. This is very different from super-passionate couples who link sex with love and emotional connection.

Another key point is compulsion: "Sex addiction has the hallmarks of other addictions (i.e. alcohol or drug addiction) because it involves a recurrent failure to control sexually acting-out," stresses Kane. It's a red flag if you engage in multiple behaviors (having risky, casual sex, watching pornography, masturbating) constantly despite harmful consequences. Sex addicts often experience intense highs followed by a big low point with feelings of guilt and shame, and in order to cope with these low points, they seek out even more sexual experiences. Which inevitably leads to a dangerous vicious cycle.

Signs of sex addiction
But unlike physical conditions (such as heart problems or diabetes), mental health disorders like this can be difficult to diagnose. Still, there are some tell-tale signs: According to SASH, you likely have an issue with sex addiction if you have out-of-control repetitive behaviors such as:

Frequent casual sex
Having numerous affairs whilst in a relationship
Craving "risky" sex
Using pornography on a very regular basis
Using sex as a way to deal with problems and stress
Feeling unable to control sexual behavior even if you want to
Requiring increasing amounts of sex to achieve the same "high"
Lack of intimacy during sexual encounters

Most couples at one point or another deal with jealousy to some degree. It is a common occurrence in many relationships. Jealousy, also known as the green-eyed monster, can create a rift in a relationship, causing distrust and hurt feelings. Most women expect their man to be at least a little jealous from time to time. However, some women have the unfortunate luck to fall in love with a guy who has severe jealousy issues. So how can you tell the difference between a guy who can be occasionally jealous from a guy who is paranoidly so? Here are some signs that your guy may be a victim of the green-eyed monster.

He keeps tabs on you
It is quite natural to ask your partner where they are going and when they might be home. You want to know what they do when they are not with you. But if your guy calls you fifteen times a day to ask where you are and who you are with, that is not a good sign. Men with out-of-control jealousy issues want to know exactly where you were at what time of day. They want to know not just who you were with but what you said. He may even accuse you of talking about him. This is a controlling behavior and can make you feel like you are under house arrest with an ankle monitor.

He is never wrong
Men who wrestle with jealousy can have very aggressive personalities and have trouble admitting when they are wrong. "A jealous person gives the impression of being a very self-confident person," explains Paul A. Hauck, clinical psychologist and author of Overcoming Jealousy and Possessiveness, but it really stems from a low self-esteem and overwhelming insecurity.

You can't have friends
Men with jealousy issues want to control not just where you go and when, they want to control who you talk to. They feel the need to dictate who you can see. Any friends and family that they do not like are immediately scratched off the list. Guy friends are always the first to go because they cannot stand the idea of you speaking to another guy. It's called "suspicious jealousy", one which is not based on what you did or may have done, but rather is based on imagined threats. It is an ongoing cycle and if a woman is not careful, she will soon find that she can't have any friends at all and may even be ordered not to see her family.

He gets mad when you don't include him
Men with severe jealousy issues want to be involved in everything you do. This is one reason they grill women about their day. Therefore when a woman makes plans that do not include their guy, the man is going to get mad because he is hurt. It all goes back to their level of insecurities.

His jealousy causes him to get violent
Violence tends to go hand in hand with jealousy in men. Because they have not learned to control their jealousy, their frustration causes them to lash out around them. "Most jealous persons register their grievances loudly and clearly. They scream at their partners, smack them around, and hassle them shamelessly. Men have smashed their furniture or put their fist through walls," says Hauck. If your guy tends to hit things when he gets jealous, then you have a serious problem.

How to deal with his jealous antics
"Jealousy eventually can be very destructive to a relationship so it's important to prevent it from heading out of control," cautions Dr. Gabrielle Morrissey, a relationship counsellor and sexologist. Talk to your guy and let him know that you do not like his controlling attitude. Tell him how it makes you feel and reassure him that you still love him but his jealousy is causing problems between you.

But remember, if you want your guy to trust you, don't have anything to hide. "You should be an open book," says Dr. Phil McGraw, psychologist and TV personality. "Respect your partner enough to let him/her know where you are, when you will be back, and what you're doing."

Another important step is not to give in to unreasonable demands: "They get a control fix every time you reassure them, every time you answer the phone to report on your whereabouts," adds McGraw. "If he calls you 10 times to check in on you, answer the phone once to offer information, then turn it off." Know when to say no. Being submissive and trying to please them only encourages their behavior.

Your jealous man may just feel like you are ignoring him. Reserve some private time with him when you can connect as a couple. Stay home together or go some place alone where you won't be interrupted by friends and family. However, if nothing works and your man is still acting all green, get out of the relationship because chances are he will make your life miserable and end up alienating you from everyone who cares about you.

10 Things You Should Know About Men

Ah the male species. Some things about them will always be hard to fathom -- like how they may be well-versed in every part of a car engine, but they're stumped when it comes to operating the washing machine. Or how they always choke on the words "I love you." But most of the time, men are actually pretty simple to 'get'.

Eris Huemer is a relationship and family counselor and coach. She and her husband, Clayton Winans, are about to release their newest book, The Man-ip-ulator™ vs. The Wo-man-izer™: Everything you need to know to get the relationship you want. This power couple dishes out ten universal things you need to know about what make men tick.

1. Men have needs just like you do
Women are often considered the needier sex, but guys are have their emotional needs, too, according to Huemer and Winas. They may not readily admit it, but "men need respect, praise, interest in what they do, support, encouragement, collaboration, understanding, love, time alone, etc., etc."

2. Men need respect
Find a woman who disrepects her guy, and you'll find a man who's halfway out the door. "A man is going to find respect somewhere," say Huemer and Winas. "If she doesn't give it to him, then he is going to find it someplace else."

3. Men need praise
What's the best way to get a man to please you, whether around the house or in bed? Give his self-esteem a boost. "Men constantly need to be reminded about how great they are," say Huemer and Winas. "If you ask him to do the dishes and he doesn't do them perfectly then appreciate the fact that he actually did them, even if it is not to your exact specifications. Nagging him about how inefficient he is and how you would have done a much better job is not in your best interest."

4. Men need you to be interested in what they do
Men want to be around women who care about what they love (his job, his hobby, whatever). "You don't have to live and breathe his interests," say Huemer and Winas, "but you should understand them enough to comment." For instance, ask about his day at the office when he gets home, show your excitement for his achievements at work. If he's had a stressful day, hear him out -- you don't even have to give advice. Most of the time, he just needs a listening ear.

5. Men need support and encouragement
"If you support him, he will support you," say Huemer and Winas. When he asks you do help, do the things you can to support him. "If you encourage him with his goals and dreams, he will be a better man for it."

6. Men need collaboration
In other words, men don't want to be told what to do or how to do it. "The best thing that you can do is manipulate him into thinking that he came up with the idea," say Huemer and Winas. He likes a relationship where you work together as a team, not a relationship where you're wearing the pants.

7. Men need understanding
Men may seem to be from Mars sometimes, but they really want to be understood. "When he takes the time to actually talk to you, don't blow it off or ignore it, just listen," say Huemer and Winas. Great communication between couples is key to connecting on a deeper, stronger level.

8. Men need love (and yes, that does include sex)
We all know sex is important to a man, but "love is not just sex," say Huemer and Winas. "Love is a look, a touch, a kiss, and stroking his ego." When you are attentive to his needs, he will be more willing to pay attention to yours.

9. Men need time alone
He needs a chance to explore a hobby, hang with the guys and unwind. "Allow and encourage him to do what he does to recharge" suggest Huemer and Winas. "If you do this, the time you spend with him will be even better." Of course, if time alone includes an addiction to porn, fantasy football and video games, you may want to reconsider your choice of man.

10. Men need your attention
You may think they're not very observant, but men pay attention to how their women address their needs, because as mentioned in the first point: Men are needy.

Sex Mistakes Women Make

1. Never initiating sex
This is probably the most common mistake women make. Don't rely on your partner to get things started every time. "When you initiate sex, it shows him that sex with him is a priority in your relationship," says Lou Paget, author of 365 Days of Sensational Sex. "It also shows him that you relish sex for sex's sake." Men find this show of power sexy, and they get totally turned on by the simple fact that you want them sexually

2. Being unresponsive in bed
Let your partner know that you're having a great time. "Most important, let yourself go during sex," says Sari Locker, author of Mindblowing Sex in the Real World.Watching and hearing you get turned on makes him turned on, so go ahead and let it show. "Don't be afraid of what sounds and words might come out of your mouth. It's only natural and quite normal to express yourself when something feels so amazing," adds Locker.

3. Forgetting his nipples
The nipples hold a concentration of nerve endings and are usually regarded as more erogenous in females. Which is why many women overlook men's nipples as an erogenous zone. But nipples can be his thing, too."Many men have very sensitive nipples. Regardless of how sensitive they are, some men enjoy having them stimulated," says Yvonne K. Fulbright, author of Touch Me There! Try sucking gently on the nipples, using your tongue to increase stimulation, and alternate kissing and licking the areola.

4. Making him responsible for your orgasms
"It is important for women to know that they are in charge of their own orgasm," explains Barry R. Komisaruk, co-author of The Science of Orgasm. Because ultimately, you're responsible for your own pleasure and satisfaction.Don't expect your partner to be a mind reader, start focusing on communication: Give him feedback, tell him what turns you on and how you like to be touched. If you're uncomfortable talking about it, you can guide his hand with yours.

5. Limiting sex to the bedroom
Why restrict your lovemaking session to the bed or the bedroom? Surprise him with sex in an unexpected place."Men love the combination of two things: A sense of adventure, and when their women are spontaneously overcome with erotic passion," says Lou Paget, author of 365 Days of Sensational Sex. So don't overlook countertops, stairwells or even the balcony. By exploring new, naughty places for a nooky, you'll be making some very steamy memories of your own.

"Does He Really Love Me?"

1. He is affectionate, and not just sexually
"Men in love can never get enough contact from the woman they love," explains Lance McKeithan, author of Understanding Men. They'll want to hold your hand, cuddle, hug and kiss -- these are basically the actions of a man in love. Don't confuse sexual touching with these displays of affection, though. "If he can't keep his hands off you but every time he touches you it turns into sex, this may not be love but lust," adds McKeithan.

2. His actions are consistent with his words
Some men are so good at whispering sweet nothings, they can make you feel on cloud nine with honeyed words alone. But "don't be fooled by his words, especially if they are contrary to his actions," cautions McKeithan. Look to his actions for the real answer. For instance, when you're down with a nasty cold, a sweet-talker will say things like "I'd trade places with you if I could, sweetheart" but then still proceed to meet with his buddies at the pub anyway. A man who truly loves you, on the other hand, thinks of your welfare every time, and acts in a thoughtful, affectionate, and selfless manner. He will cancel his night out to take care of you -- even if it means missing the Liverpool match.

3. He plans future for the two of you
A man who genuinely loves you will want to share his future with you. Period. "Just remember this. Every man you have every dated who has said he doesn't want to get married or doesn't believe in marriage, or has 'issues' with marriage, will, rest assured, someday be married. It just will never be with you," says Greg Behrendt, co-author of He's Just Not That Into You. If he's hesitant or gives excuses whenever you bring up the topic of marriage, he doesn't love you enough to want to settle down with you. Move on as quickly as you can.

4. He loves to make you happy
A man in love makes you feel loved. He won't compare you with his ex. He won't openly flirt with other women to make you jealous. He's great to be around and he loves to make you smile. Men in love don't have excuses for why they can't find ways -- they don't need to be nagged to do this or bribed to do that. "If you're with a man who puts up a fight when it comes to doing something that will bring a smile to your face, he's probably with you only for sex," explains McKeithan.

5. He loves spending time with you
You can easily spot a man in love through his attitude. "If he loves you, he wants to spend time with you, and everything you do together is a pleasure, not a chore," says McKeithan. You can be watching DVD re-runs for the tenth time on weekends, running errands together, or some other less-than-fun activities, but he still enjoys your company.

6. He is not easily annoyed by you
"Even when you break his favorite mug he is more concerned with your well being than a few shards of porcelain," reveals McKeithan. That's not to say that he's a pushover, but he is certainly not a man who is easily annoyed, angered, or agitated by the things/mistakes/accidents you do.

7. He is emotionally available
A man in love should be able to love you freely, meaning he must not be already married or engaged to another women or otherwise emotionally unavailable.

"No matter how powerful and real your feelings may be for someone, if that person cannot full and honestly return them and therefore actively love you back, these feelings mean nothing," says Behrendt. What you're getting from him is scraps and it doesn't bother him that he's short-changing you. Do you call that real love? Not to mention that he's okay with cheating. He may be in it for the sex or the thrill -- but certainly not for love.
